Australian Search Engines and Directories:
The Ultimate List

Listed below you'll find links which will pass you directly to the "Add URL" function (submit page) of each engine we poll (or tell you where it is). Since no two engines work precisely the same way, it's important that you add your site individually to each one. For most people, listing a site in all these will take about 3 to 6 minutes.

The engines we list here are the largest and best-known in the world, used by millions of people every day. A listing in all of them will probably account for as much as 90% of your site's engine-driven traffic.

Be aware that because these engines are so large, many are now operating under a permanent backlog. While some will list you instantly, others can now take anywhere between 6 to 10 weeks to list your site. So if your URL doesn't appear in them immediately, be patient. Also note that many Australian engines will only list Australian sites.
